Upper Duden Falls are a case in point for sustainable tourism, being an example of balancing tourism with environmental conservation, encouraging visitors to enjoy nature responsibly.
Educationally, the visit allowed us to observe good environmental practices and gather ideas for promoting sustainability, biodiversity conservation, and outdoor learning in our own schools.
Day 3, 21st July 2026
On day 3 we had the opportunity to visit Muratpaşa Bilim ve Sanat Merkezi (Muratpaşa Science and Arts Center), a Center for talented and gifted students, in Antalya, Türkiye.
The visit gave us valuable insights into innovative teaching practices, student-centred learning, and the ways gifted students are supported through creative and scientific education.
The deputy headmaster welcomed us warmly and explained to us the concept of this school.
Muratpaşa Science and Arts Center is a specialised educational public institution that provides additional learning opportunities for talented and gifted students alongside their regular schooling.
The school offers a wide range of activities in science, technology, arts, music, and innovation. Students participate in hands-on experiments, artistic projects, robotics, coding, and interdisciplinary activities that foster both academic excellence and personal development. During our visit, we observed modern learning environments designed to inspire curiosity.
The visit also allowed us to exchange ideas with our Turkish colleagues, discuss good educational practices, and explore opportunities for future international cooperation.
We wish to thank Dilek, our trainer, for this opportunity.
